Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc. ( hereinafter referred to as IR&E, Inc. ) collects such personal information from you during use of our website as you specifically provide. We also collect such additional information which you elect to specifically provide through additional email correspondence with IR&E, Inc. Such additional information is treated under the same provisions of this Privacy Policy as that which you initially provide in contacting us through the Profile Form included on the site.

In compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, no one under 13 years of age can use this website. If you are a minor between the ages of 13 and 18, you may use the site only in conjunction with your parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult.

Information you provide to IR&E, Inc. is considered an inquiry into our website. You give us the express authorization to contact you as evidenced by the “I Agree” button that must be clicked to submit the Profile Form on the website. You also give us permission to contact you despite your being listed on a state or federal Do Not Call list because companies that you specifically and deliberately query are omitted from the Do Not Call list stipulations.

IR&E, Inc. makes every reasonable attempt to comply with all local, state and federal laws applicable to the conduct of our duties. Failure to comply is not intentional and when brought to the attention of IR&E, Inc. compliance will be deliberate and with all diligent speed.

As described below, some of your personally identifiable information will be used by us for the purpose of contacting you regarding the assistance that you have requested. By using the website, you expressly consent to our use of your personal information and to the disclosure of and use of this information in our efforts to provide assistance to you in identifying institutions of higher education which may be of benefit to you by providing such personal information to educational institutions. You acknowledge that communications to, from and through the website are not confidential. You agree that by submitting through the website, no confidential, fiduciary, contractually implied or other relationship is created between you and IR&E, Inc. other than pursuant to this Privacy Policy.

Personally identifiable information refers to information that tells us specifically who you are and is collected when you choose to request assistance for IR&E, Inc. or any institution to which it may elect to share such information. This information can include your name, address, phone number(s), current email address, academic accomplishments and goals, personal family information and student debt. When you communicate with IR&E, Inc. we may retain your email address and messages together with our responses.

IR&E, Inc. does not intentionally collect your data through internet search engines, but cannot prevent such search engines from collecting such data for its (their) purposes or for the use of third-parties. This website does not contain links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by IR&E, Inc. Please be aware that IR&E, Inc. is not responsible for the privacy of other websites.

IR&E, Inc. may use small programs called “cookies” that transfer to your hard drive allowing us to recognize you and pass information about your website visit to different portions of this website. With your express authorization provided with the submission of the Profile Form your initial data and additional data subsequently provided by you may be submitted to accredited educational institutions which are presumed to take all reasonable diligence in securing it, but this cannot be guaranteed after your data has left our control.

IR&E, Inc. will only share your personal information with accredited institutions of higher education under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Education and then only in ways that are consistent with this Privacy Policy. Under no circumstances does IR&E, Inc. sell your information to other private or public companies, corporations or individuals doing business in any form.

IR&E, Inc. will disclose data collected when compelled by legal order.

IR&E, Inc. does not ever solicit or collect by any means financial account numbers including banking or credit card numbers. IR&E, Inc. does not ever solicit or collect United States Social Security Numbers.

You may elect to change or update the information you have previously submitted by re-submitting that updated information by email to bestcolleges@comcast.net including the eight-digit Reference Number ( Ref: #) assigned. Updated information must be submitted from the same IP address as the original Profile Form submission.

This privacy policy may change from time to time. Changes will be included in this Privacy Policy as they take effect. This privacy policy as amended is effective January 1, 2016.

You may unsubscribe from communications with IR&E, Inc. at any time by contacting us by email at bestcolleges@comcast.net from the same IP address as the original Profile Form submission and including the word “Unsubscribe” in the subject line and your name and eight-digit Reference Number in the subject line of the email.
